Epinephelus fuscoguttatus x Epinephelus lanceolatus (Tiger GG) is a hybrid of male Giant grouper and female Tiger grouper (brown-spotted grouper). Because it has the dual advantages of fast gentian growth and delicious tiger grouper, it is currently in Southeast Asia , Mainland and Taiwan’s major grouper farmed fish species.
According to the information from the Taiwan Fisheries Administration and the Mainland Fisheries Journal, the number of tiger GG raised in Taiwan and the mainland has reached 20 million and over 200 million each year, and the market scale is huge.
In addition to the number of breeding in Southeast Asia, it is estimated that the annual demand for dragon and Tiger GG fry will exceed 300 million, and the business opportunity will exceed NT$6 billion.
