2005 Epinopheinus cyanopodus, the world's first success, mass production at 2018

Speckled Blue Grouper (Spinopheinus Cyanopodus) and the Chinese name is Tiny Spot Grouper. It is mainly produced in Southeast Asia. Australia. Taiwan and Southern Japan. Body of it is light brown or light blue with large number of tiny black spot scattered all over the body. The price tag is HKD1501 Taiwanese Catty. It should be call high value grouper.

There is no literature stating the cultivation and reproduction of this species and since natural waters production is in the decreasing trend. In order to gear to the future needs. we have conducting preliminary research of reproduction and cultivation.  
Preliminarily it was found that this species is suitable for landside pond and sea water net cage cultivations and it can be fed with fresh small fish. It is a carnivorous fish with wide ranges of temperatures and salinity. Since it is hard to get the fries. we have to put into heavier investment and we finally succeeded in reproduction in 2005 .
